The repeat 1st-prize paradox
How often should the SAME number win 1st prize twice? Far more often than intuition says.
The birthday paradox, on 4D: with 10,000 possible numbers, an operator needs only 119 draws for a better-than-even chance that some number has already won 1st prize twice — and after thousands of draws, hundreds of repeats are mathematically guaranteed.
